Amazon.com Product Description
This Casio G-Shock digital watch offers a stylishly rugged look, world-savvy features ideal for business or adventure, and a durable design. The watch's atomic timekeeping calibrates the displayed time with radio signals to ensure a high level of accuracy, and the tough solar power offers a battery life of approximately 11 months on full charge without further exposure to light. The watch is built with a round stainless steel bezel, stainless steel case, and a stylish stainless steel band with a fold-over push-button clasp. The digital window shows the time in a bold central display, with world time settings for up to 29 time zones (30 cities), daylight savings option, and a city code display. The digital window also conveniently shows the day of the week above and the month and date below, automatically pre-programmed through 2099. The battery power level and calibration signal reception are indicated on the sides. This watch also offers four daily alarms and one snooze alarm, a time recorder, a 1/100 second stopwatch function, and a handy automatic EL backlight with afterglow. Specially designed for shock resistance and water resistant up to 660 feet.

5 out of 5 stars Just what I was looking for.   July 20, 2010
Allen
I needed a watch that was could take some abuse (I cracked the face two previous dress watches), had the usual functions of a digital watch yet did not look like a typical digital watch. I found it. My wife actually likes the watch, which suprised me in that she does not like any digital watches, and it has proven to be as durable as advertized so far. I love that I can wear it to work in an office setting, while I'm doing remodeling work on my house, and not worry when I have to hose off my arms/watch to clean up.

However, the atomic time and solar power far exceeded my expectations. Each night, the watch updates the time and I never have to worry about the accuracy of my watch again. The solar power seems to be easy to maintain. After two months, I have made no special effort to charge the watch and it has not left the top charge category. Also, the light will automatically come on when you hold your wrist when you hold your arm up to look at the watch. This is light sensitive and will only activate the light when it is dark out. This can be turned on and off, and is a really nice feature.

The face is easy to read and does not have excessive details on the watch that make you look for the time/date. The time memo function is helpful when you quickly want to mark when something started without going through the modes and finding the stopwatch. The alarm with snooze function is nice, and all of the other function are very good.

The only criticism I have is that I wish they has more cities named per time zone in the US when you are setting your watch for atomic time. I live near Chicago so it was easy to choose that, but if you on the border of two time zones it would be helpful to have more choices.

Great watch!

4 out of 5 stars ATTRACTIVE AND EASY TO USE   July 17, 2010

This watch has more features than my previous rubber wristband Wavecepter I USED FOR 12 YEARS. The only hitch was adjusting the wrist band was difficult to remove links. Sales person at Walmart able to do it for me.
I like this watch for everyday informal wear.

5 out of 5 stars Great G-Shock, dressier than most   July 15, 2010

I love this one. It's dressier than most G-Shocks by virtue of the metallic "MT-G" design and the metal link band. It lacks a countdown timer but I don't personally need that feature. It has a "time memo" feature that I personally do like and use, although many might not need it. I REALLY like the fact that it has my two must-have features:

1) It displays the current time of day while in stopwatch mode. This is a huge thing for me.
2) It has the full auto EL feature, which I use frequently at night.

While it may not have the all-black mall ninja commando look that so many adolescents seem to like, it works for me!

I wanted a simple easy to use watch that I'll never have to worry about setting or batteries or getting wet.. I got what I wanted.

The watch works very well but one thing. That is if someone wishes to change the watch band its impossible to do so because of the design.
